Our Story

I’m a lifelong artisan from a small town, specializing in handcrafted glass hammer paintings—a skill I’ve honed for over two decades. What began as a quiet hobby in my home workshop, creating occasional pieces for friends between long pauses (the craft demands patience!), became something unexpected after retirement. To pass the time, I’d still tap away at small projects—until last Christmas.

My granddaughter, home from college, shared a glass portrait I’d made of her childhood photo on Instagram. To our surprise, strangers asked where they could order one. Her excitement was contagious: "Grandpa, your art deserves to be seen!" So together, we launched Frag.Glass—a bridge between my old-world craft and her digital savvy (thankfully, her college minor covered things like digital media—modern magic to me!).

Every piece is slow art. Each hammer strike requires precision, and yes—my hands move slower now at this age. But that’s the beauty: time bends in the workshop. What you see here isn’t machine-perfect, but it carries decades of care. We’re still learning (video editing might take me another 20 years!), but we promise this: if it bears our name, it’s made with the kind of attention that lingers.

Welcome to our journey.
